Therman Statom is a glass artist from Winterhaven, Florida, currently living in Omaha, Nebraska. Statom is one of the best known glass artists in the country, pushing this medium to larger, more architectural usage. He is best known for his painted ladders, houses, chairs, etc., constructed out of glass, plywood, and found objects. Statom’s talent has been recognized and rewarded by the Ford Foundation, the Brody Foundation, and the NEA.
